Hotel arrangements for participants of the 2005 Nitrogen Workshop, August 10-12, have been made at the Hawthorne Suites LTD, 805 Keene Street, Columbia, MO 65201.  A block of rooms has been reserved under the name "Nitrogen Workshop."  The telephone number for Hotel reservations is:  573-442-8600.  Reservations need to be made by July 10, 2005.  Rooms will be available at a rate of $60.00 per night (this is the government per diem rate). Complimentary hot buffet breakfast is provided.

Location:  East side of Columbia, just off Interstate 70 at the intersection with state highway 63.

1. To share ideas and concepts relative to improved NUE for corn production.

2. To delineate the components needed within functional algorithms that employ active sensors.

3. To discuss the current regional project and identify improvements needed for conducting future collaborative sensor-based research.

4.  To develop agronomic relationships between active sensors and N management for other crops.
