PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
May 2001 - Present: Graduate Research Assistant, Department of Agronomy, Oklahoma State University. Responsibilities: Reasearch plot work including planting; cultivation; harvesting; applying fertilizer conventionally and using precision variable rate technology; sensor-based collection of data; soil and plant sample processing and analysis; data management; equipment maintenance; plot plan design.
August 2001: OSU Precision Sensing Team sent to CIMMYT for calibration and side-by-side testing of OSU-developed wheat sensor for variable rate fertilizer application.
May-August 2000: Cotton Crop Consultant, Joyner Crop Consulting, Inc., Gibson, Tennessee. Responsibilities: Surveying cotton fields for diseases, pests, and growth stage; recommending applications of pesticides and growth regulators.
May-August 1999: Corn Crop Consultant, Seaman Crop Consulting, Inc., Hugoton, Kansas. Responsibilities: Surveying irrigated corn fields for disease, pests, soil moisture, and growth stage; recommending pesticide applications and irrigation scheduling.
February-May 1998: Student Agricultural Assistant, Government of Malta Agricultural farm, Marsa, Malta. Responsibilities: General care of several greenhouses; cultivation; sowing greenhouse plants; harvesting of flowers and vegetables; irrigation timing.
August-December 1997: Soil Lab Assistant, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK. Responsibilities: Set-up and take-down of items needed for soil science lab sections; organization of lab equipment; lab maintenance; grading lab assignments and tests.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
